Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki and the Chief Executive Officer of the Brandywine Valley SPCA, Adam Lamb, today invited animal lovers to bring their dogs and cats to a FREE rabies shot clinic to be held on Sunday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Tilton Park at West 8th Street and North Broom Street in Wilmington. The pets brought to the event will receive FREE rabies and distemper shots (dogs) or the FVRCP vaccination (cats). FREE microchipping will also be available, and the Brandywine Valley SPCA will have pet food assistance available for as long as supplies last. Pet owners with questions about the Sunday, August 23 clinic, made possible thanks to a grant from the Petco Foundation, should call 302.516.1004 and speak with a representative of the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
